Rockwell Allen Targets Valley for Initial Expansion Into California

Rockwell Allen has secured a two-unit deal to bring 16 Handles frozen yogurt franchise to the San Fernando Valley. The franchisee plans to use the Valley as his initial expansion point when the company enters California.

The New York-based franchise has over 40 locations across the nation and is launching its first shops in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco and San Diego. Allen told What Now Los Angeles that his team is currently scouting locations in Northridge with plans to open a shop as soon as possible.

The Brand Draws on Quality and Growth

Allen and his business partner were looking into different franchise opportunities when they discovered 16 Handles. They were drawn to the quality and growth of the New York-based franchise.

The taste alone could have sold us but what really sealed the deal is the brand itself said Allen. Its really forward-thinking company with leadership we feel is in touch with what customers want. We love something where we can provide joy and happiness to people.

A Rotating Flavor Strategy

The brand serves 16 rotating soft-serve flavors with more than 50 toppings and sauces. Other dessert offerings include cakes, take-home pints and DŌ gourmet edible cookie dough.
