Chatsworth High School Volleyball Team Becomes 12-Time City Section Champions

It is now official. You can call Chatsworth a 12-time City Section volleyball champion after the Chancellors won the Open Division championship on Saturday night. The team knocked off West Valley League rival Granada Hills with a four-set victory.

The final score was 24-26, 25-21, 25-14, 25-18. Coach Sina Aghassy got his team to settle down and dominate the Highlanders after their first-set defeat. The two teams had split their league matches.

Team Standouts Shine in Championship Win

Noa Beauregard led the attack with 14 kills throughout the match. Grant Chang contributed 13 points for the team. Coach Sina Aghassy guided his team to victory after losing the first set.

The Chancellors proved they are a championship-caliber squad. They now hold the record for most City Section titles in City Section Open Division history.
