NORTHRIDGE, CA. CSUN women's water polo head coach Matt Warshaw has released the 2027 schedule for the Matadors, featuring six home matches at Matador Pool and a slate of nationally ranked opponents.

The season opens with a road clash against defending national champion USC, and the program will face at least 11 teams that finished last season ranked in the national top 25.

"We're excited to challenge ourselves this spring with a demanding road schedule," Warshaw said. He enters his 11th year leading the program. "Facing a top-ranked USC team early in the season will be a great test and gives us an opportunity to see where we are as a team. We'll be prepared and ready for the gauntlet that is Big West women's water polo. Our non-conference schedule offers a little bit of everything, including matchups against top-ranked opponents such as Michigan, Indiana and San Jose State."

CSUN's 2027 opener is set for Saturday, January 23, when the Matadors face USC and Pomona-Pitzer at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center. The second week of the season will take the program to Cal Lutheran on January 30.

The non-conference schedule continues with a multi-team invite in Ann Arbor, Michigan, from February 6 to 7. CSUN will square off with LIU and Mount St. Mary's on day one, then face Indiana and Marist on day two. The Matadors will also compete at Santa Clara's Bronco Invitational from February 12 to 13, with matchups against host Santa Clara, Michigan, McKendree and San Jose State.

The Big West regular season opens on Saturday, February 20, with a trip to perennial conference power UC Irvine. CSUN will host a mini invite on March 4 at Matador Pool, taking on Villanova and McKendree in the three-team event. The following day begins a two-day stay at the Convergence Tournament, hosted by Pomona-Pitzer, Claremont Mudd-Scripps and Occidental from March 5 to 6.
