A 77-year-old driver crashed into a Metrolink train in Pacoima on Saturday, injuring himself while all 43 passengers on the train escaped unharmed.
The collision occurred at 11:23 a.m. near the intersection of North San Fernando Road and the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Train passengers unharmed
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the scene at 11130 N. San Fernando Road, the LAFD reported. The vehicle involved in the crash was found in a nearby shopping center parking lot.
All 43 passengers on the Metrolink train were assessed by first responders. No injuries were reported among riders or staff on the train, the fire department said.
"The 43 passengers on the train were assessed and no injuries were reported," the Los Angeles Fire Department said in its incident report.
